Question 1

What can Saul actually read?

Accepted Answer

PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint decks, plain text and images — including scanned pages, even a photocopy of a photocopy. Your answers come from the materials you actually upload.

Question 2

Does Saul answer from my materials or the internet?

Accepted Answer

You choose the source for each conversation: an entire class, a specific upload, your notes, or general knowledge. If you pick a source with nothing in it, Saul says so instead of confidently making things up. A rare quality.

Question 3

Which AI models can I use?

Accepted Answer

Saul is the default model. Paid plans also let you pick ChatGPT or Gemini for a conversation — switch models without leaving your class workspace.

Question 4

Can I export my outlines?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every outline exports to Word (.docx) or PDF, with your headings, lists, highlights and dividers preserved. Ready to print, share, or dramatically wave around.

Question 5

Is my work private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Notes, outlines and uploads belong to your account. Sharing is per item — specific people, your school, or everyone — and you can unshare at any time. Your Con Law hot takes are safe.

Question 6

Is my content used to train AI?

Accepted Answer

No. The materials you upload, notes you write, outlines you create, chats, flashcards, practice questions, and other work you do in Saul are not used to train AI models.

Question 7

Can I share outlines with my study group?

Accepted Answer

Share an outline by email, with your school, or publicly. Recipients can duplicate it into their own copy; only the owner can delete the original. Generosity, with an audit trail.

Question 8

What are the free plan limits?

Accepted Answer

Five active classes, five outlines per class, five materials per class (up to 20 MB per file) and 500 AI credits a month on the Saul model. Plus and Elite lift that to unlimited classes, materials and outlines, with uploads up to 100 MB — though smaller, focused materials still give Saul the sharpest answers. Credits are yours to spend however you like — chats, quizzes or flashcards — so nothing is rationed feature by feature.

Question 9

Is Saul legal advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Saul is a study tool, not a lawyer — despite the name. It can be wrong, and it is not a substitute for your reading, your professor, or a licensed attorney.

Questions? Saul has answers. It's kind of his whole thing.
